I’m very excited to report that the Kindle edition of my first book, Vaetra Unveiled is now available on Amazon.com! Vaetra Unveiled is book one of The Vaetra Chronicles, a magical fantasy adventure trilogy. Although the book is part of a series, it stands well on its own (no cliff-hanger ending.) I’m offering the book at a special introductory price of 99 cents through June. In July, the price goes up to $2.99.
I’d like to thank all of my blog visitors for their support of my dream. I can hardly believe it finally came true. I hesitated and held my breath before finally pressing that submit key on KDP last night. And then this morning, the book was live on Amazon.com! What a great way to start the day!
Want to know little more about the book? Here’s a short description of Vaetra Unveiled:
Jaylan Forester is trying to get his life back together after losing his position as Captain of the Imperial Guard. He takes a promising mercenary contract, but it goes instantly out of control when he discovers his client is on the run for stealing a magical artifact. Now he must learn to overcome his distrust of sorcerers and magic long enough to help an intriguing Sword Sorceress recover the artifact. Along the way, he discovers that he and the sorceress have more in common than either could have guessed.
You can get a more thorough description on the Vaetra Chronicles Web site, which went live today as well. The site has information about the series in general, Vaetra Unveiled in particular, and a bio page with information about me.
If you are still a fan of print books, don’t worry, a paperback edition ($9.99) is coming soon. I expect to get a proof from my printer today or tomorrow. Assuming I don’t find anything unexpected, the print version should be available on Amazon and other online retailers by the end of this week. If you are into autographs, you’ll be able to order signed and inscribed copies of either print edition direct from the publisher’s online store for no extra charge.
An EPUB/Nook edition of Vaetra Unveiled is coming in May, so Nook owners will still have plenty of time to take advantage of the 99-cent pricing. You’ll be able to order the Nook edition from Barnes & Noble and the EPUB edition from the publisher or the Apple iBookstore.
I do hope you’ll give the book a try. At 99 cents, there’s not much risk!
