Summer Solstice Free Fantasy – June 20-21, 2012

Tomorrow is your big chance to get some great summer reading for a price that can’t be beat: FREE!

I’ve joined with 23 other fantasy authors who are offering our books for free on June 20 and 21. The event is appropriately called Summer Solstice Free Fantasy. Vaetra Unveiled is one of 29 fantasy titles you can download for nothing…zip…nada…zero.

In order to qualify for the promotion, all books had to have at least 4 reviews and an average rating of at least 4 stars, so it is definitely worth your time to check out these books.

Our illustrious leader Chris Tarwater masterminded the event, and I’d like to thank him here for all the hard work he did to set up a web site, create event headers and badges, create an Amazon Listmania list, write a Google document with a check list of the things we authors had to do to prepare, and generally play Chief Cat Herder to a bunch of unruly fantasy authors.

To see the fantasy books available for download, please visit the site (see links below). All of the participating titles are conveniently listed on one page with their cover graphic, description, and a download link. Not all of the books are on Amazon.com, but the ones that are can also be found through a special Listmania list that Chris set up.

I hope you’ll take a few moments to check out the books and download the ones that interest you on the 20th and the 21st. The Summer Solstice Free Fantasy offer is a fantasy reader’s dream come true!

  1. I just downloaded a whole bunch of them! Lots of these books look fantastic! Thanks for the heads-up on this, Daniel!

  2. Oooh I shall be tweeting about this contest for you.

  3. Thanks to both of you! Vaetra Unveiled has had over 1,700 downloads in the first 24 hours. Hopefully some of those folks will read it, like it, and review it!

Chris: I downloaded many of them too. They do look like good stories, and I’m familiar with most of the authors through KindleBoards.
